ENSURE EVERY ARTIST YOU BOOK IS USING AMP TO PROMOTE THEIR SHOW
Artist audio messages are an incredibly powerful and personal way for artists to promote their shows at your venue. Compared to live event promotions on social networks, these messages regularly show results 2-10 times stronger and are completely free for artists and their teams.
Check out this step-by-step guide to make sure every show at your venue is promoted using an Artist Audio Message on Pandora and to find suggested copy to include in performance contracts.
PRO TIP: Encourage artists to use AMPcast to post last-minute promotional messages for shows with tickets remaining 1-2 weeks out. For more information on AMPcast, check out AMPplaybook.com/ampcast
YOUR SHOWS ARE ALREADY BEING PROMOTED ON PANDORA
…thanks to our suite of automated tools specifically built for Ticketfly partners. When you set up a show in Ticketfly’s Backstage system, Pandora automatically notifies the right fans at the right time to make sure they know when their favorite artists are coming to town.
Listeners are targeted based on their behavior (station ownership, thumbing behavior, etc.) and location. For example, let’s say an artist is playing Brooklyn on 3/10. When the venue announces the show, Pandora listeners in NYC are eligible to be notified if they meet any of the following criteria:
- They have started the artist’s station, or
- They have started a station based on one of the artist’s tracks, or
- They have thumbed up two of the artist’s songs at any point
If a listener is eligible for notifications based on the criteria above (and have opted in to receive them), Pandora will reach out to them using any or all of the following tools:
Mobile Push Notifications
Mobile Feed Notifications
Personalized Concert Digest Emails
Now Playing + Artist Pages
PRO TIP: Make sure you’re entering your shows into Backstage using proper Headliner and Support information. Errors in name matching will affect the success of these automated notifications. To review the best practices for Backstage show setup, check out the Ticketfly Marketing Guide.
