At Pandora, we’re driven to support independent artists by helping them find and engage with fans. For years, we’ve provided a path for self-releasing artists to submit their music for inclusion in Pandora’s catalog through our Independent Artist Submissions tool. We’ve accepted over 64,000 releases from more than 44,000 independent artists including Lindsey Stirling, Trampled By Turtles, and Break of Reality – all of whom have used the submissions process to get their tracks on Pandora and reach millions of listeners.
As Pandora has evolved to expand both our music offerings and our on-demand listening experience, we’ve added a new Independent Artist Submissions tool to the broader suite of self-serve creator tools AMP already offers, including Artist Audio Messages, Featured Tracks, and Pandora Stories. The tool makes it easier for Independent artists to grow their audience with Pandora – allowing more submissions to be made while also reducing wait times.
Using the New Independent Artist Submissions Tool:
To ensure that your music is eligible for all four tiers of Pandora’s service, we require that your music has been distributed to Pandora via a digital aggregator before using the tool. You can access the new tool here after logging into AMP, or you can click on “Submissions” from the dropdown menu in the upper right-hand corner of your AMP profile. Complete the form to submit your track for review.
If you have previously used the Independent Artist Submissions portal, here are some helpful reminders when using the new tool:
If you submitted a release through the old tool and it is still pending, we encourage you to resubmit this release using the new process. This will allow your submission to be processed sooner.
If your music is already available on Pandora, there is no need to submit your new releases through this tool – just confirm with your distributor that your future releases have been delivered to Pandora and they’ll automatically go live.
Please note that this tool is not intended for use by our direct deal partners (labels, distributors, etc.).
