Q. What HAPPENED TO PANDORA FOR PODCASTERS?

Pandora for Podcasters has now transformed to Simplecast Creator Connect. This is our new podcaster portal, which you can use to get your show on both Pandora and Stitcher in a single step! You do not have to host your podcast on Simplecast in order to submit or claim your show using Creator Connect.

Q: WILL I STILL HAVE ACCESS to my listener STATS on PANDORA?

A: Yes! Listener analytics for your show(s) on Pandora are now available via Creator Connect. You will need to claim existing shows by submitting the RSS feed, signing our updated licensing agreement and validating the owner email (one time only) in order to get access to your Pandora stats.

Q: Does it cost anything to USE Creator Connect?

A: No, it is FREE to register for Creator Connect and you can keep using whatever hosting platform you currently use. If you want to change your hosting platform to Simplecast, great! However, it is not required to get your show(s) on Pandora or Stitcher.

Q: I already have one podcast on Pandora, do I use this tool to submit additional podcasts?

A: Yes, you can use Creator Connect to submit new shows or claim existing ones on Pandora and Stitcher. Once you submit your podcast RSS URL, sign the updated licensing agreement and confirm the owner email - your new show will appear on Stitcher and Pandora shortly afterwards.

Q: WILL I BE ABLE TO GET ACCESS to my listener STATS on STITCHER?

A: Not today! However, we will be introducing Stitcher Analytics on Creator Connect in the near future. We are also working on a slew of other exciting new features to help you grow and engage with your audience across Stitcher and Pandora.

Q: WILL YOU BE INSERTING ADS INTO MY PODCAST ON PANDORA OR STITCHER?

A: No. Podcasts submitted using Creator Connect are available in Stitcher and Pandora in RSS Passthrough mode. Our listener apps play back the audio URLs included in your podcast RSS feed. If you are not an existing monetization partner of SXM Media, we will not insert any ads in your show.

Q: Can I submit my podcast for consideration to be featured or promoted by Pandora?

A: Podcasts will be marketed and promoted by Pandora at our editorial discretion. At this time, we aren’t accepting requests for promotion but all accepted shows are eligible for consideration.

Q: What are the technical requirements for my podcast submission?

A: The requirements are as follows:

• RSS Feed 

  • RSS feed URLs must conform to the RSS 2.0 specifications. 

  • All episodes, XML, and artwork should be hosted on publicly addressable servers with byte-range requests enabled.

  • All episodes contain a globally unique identifier (GUID)

  • The server must support “HTTP HEAD requests”

  • Use “https”

• Audio

  • We are currently only accepting shows in the MP3 file format. (We will be adding support for additional formats).

  • Audio must be coherent and leveled.

  • We do not support video podcasts on Pandora.
